2015 was a year of firsts and bucket list check dreams. I was fortunate enough to travel to 7 countries, 6 of which were new to me! I continued to do spaceflight photos and spent a TON of time shooting for my Everyday Astronaut series which broke 20,000 followers on Instagram by the end of the year. I shot my first wedding in Europe, which was incredible. I got way more into aerial photography and had a lot of fun with my DJI Inspire 1.

I taught my first (and certainly not last) photography class at the Grout Museum in Waterloo. It was awesome and sparked my interest in teaching a lot more!

I bought a DJI Inspire 1 quad copter and sold my old hexacopter and have been flying far more than I ever did with my old system.

I don’t do too many family photos, but when I do, it’d better have super cute dogs and the cutest kids.

Unfortunately, I only caught one rocket launch last year and it was a United Launch Alliance Delta IV carrying a GPS satellite for the military.

I shot a whole series for Everyday Astronaut that had NO photoshop. This was the most taxing, challenging and rewarding shoot I’ve done to date. For this picture titled “I always knew what I wanted to be” I had to build a wall so I could fake a mirror look.

BUCKET LIST!!!! I took my space suit with me on a trip to Asia. This included a day of hiking along abandoned section of the Great Wall of China.

I ended up in Myanmar for two weeks to share the story of a children’s home. This is Schwedgon Pagoda in Yangon.

I ended up hanging out at Color Flowers Garden Children’s home about 2 hours outside of Yangon for 2 weeks thanks to Global Populace.

Next thing you know we were in Copenhagen! We would spend 2 weeks in Northern Europe to shoot a wedding in Germany and site see!

After Germany we spent a week driving around Norway. Norway is now one of our all time favorite places!

That night I went back up to the rock where they got married and took this picture! It was a gorgeous night!

I don’t do that many senior pictures these days, but I made a special exception for Audrey’s beautiful cousin Jenna :)

This was a first! I got to ride a Roller Coaster with Heather and Kyle at Arnold’s Park in Okoboji, Iowa!

My good friends Taylor & Danielle got married on a beautiful October day.

Since we drove out to Las Vegas, I spent some good time shooting fun pictures on the way home in Utah.
All in all, I can officially say 2015 was my best year yet! :)
